Once owned by a very dear friend, I chose to showcase this lovely piece of furniture as my second project for the product launch of the new decoupage papers from Undead Furniture Co and Undead Hardware. The record player cabinet had been discarded and stripped of its mechanics and I felt that it wasn’t dead yet. For this piece, I chose “Shabby Motif” for the front as the shape of the arabesque complimented the design all too well. The body of the cabinet was first painted in Black from the Chalk Synthesis Line from Wise Owl Paints and then dry brushed in River Rock. The entire piece is sealed in Furniture Salve in the scent Lemon Verbena and black wax was applied to accentuate the details.
